This past March, the fifth annual PLANSPONSOR Defined Benefit (DB) Administration Survey was sent to providers of defined benefit participant administration services; it excludes providers focused exclusively on investment-only, consultant/advisory or actuarial services. The questionnaire, which asked for more than 150 data points related to each provider’s experience and capabilities, was also available online and received a total 33 responses. All data presented are as of December 31, 2014, and include only “full outsourcing” and “co-sourcing” arrangements. Bundled “DB/DC” clients are based on total DB clients, as opposed to total client relationships across all product lines.
