Above and Beyond
These recordkeeper representatives offer first-class service and support to their clients
PLANSPONSOR’s 2015 Service Stars are individual retirement plan account representatives and relationship managers, plus one project manager, who, in the words of their plan sponsor clients, have demonstrated truly exemplary service over the past year.
The nine individuals profiled on the following pages were chosen by the PLANSPONSOR Surveys and Research team, who sorted through more than 2,000 comments plan sponsors wrote while taking the PLANSPONSOR 2014 Defined Contribution (DC) Survey. There, sponsors singled out their reps by name and gave examples of specific instances where that individual went above and beyond just “great customer service” to provide the support that sponsor needed to ensure its plan was working satisfactorily.
The Service Stars were chosen for a range of accomplishments, from a new provider rep who substantially raised participation levels to one who ensures no service relationship disruptions affect the company’s many clients. Others include an individual who maintains a cutting-edge plan with customized target-date funds (TDFs), someone who consolidated seven 401(k) plans into one, and a relationship manager who helped a 403(b) sponsor handle the changing regulatory and legislative climate—to name just a few.
We were thrilled that the Service Stars were able to join us in March for the PLANSPONSOR/PLANADVISER Awards for Excellence dinner in New York City—it was great to meet them in person. Congratulations to those selected! —PS
