Methodology

The PLANSPONSOR Defined Benefit (DB) Administration Survey summarizes the experience/capabilities of DB administration providers and excludes providers focused exclusively on investment-only, consultant/advisory or actuarial services. All data presented are as of December 31, 2016, and include only “full outsourcing” and “co-sourcing” arrangements. Bundled “DB/DC” clients are based on total DB clients.

Some new client restrictions may apply; please contact the provider for details. Items marked as “NR” were “not reported” in time for publication. Email Brian O’Keefe at brian.okeefe@strategic-i.com for more information.

DEFINED BENEFIT ADMIN SURVEY

Like our Recordkeeping Survey on the defined contribution side of the market, the DB Administration Survey showcases providers in the DB market—who the major players are, who they serve, what services they provide. Also included is information on overall market sizing.
