Mercer Hires Senior M&A Consultant

January 30, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) –Emily Boynton joined Mercer’s M&A Consulting Services business as senior M&A consultant.  

In this role she will lead key M&A consulting client projects and business development opportunities in the New York Metro market. Boynton will be based in the New York office, and will report to Chuck Moritt, senior partner, New York Metro Market Leader for Mercer’s M&A Consulting Services.

Prior to joining Mercer, Boynton served as director, global HR M&A for AECOM, where she led the HR aspects of due diligence and transition activities for both domestic and international transactions. Before her time at AECOM, she served as senior HR consultant in the Global Corporate Restructuring Group of Hewitt Associates (now Aon Hewitt). In this role she provided strategic subject-matter expertise and project management leadership for a wide variety of mergers and acquisitions on behalf of her clients. She began her career in the Labor and Employment Groups of Pitney Hardin LLP (now Day Pitney LLP) and Reed Smith Shaw and McClay.

Boynton received a JD degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a BA in history from Smith College.
