Roche Products Pension Trust Limited says it wanted a service that would enable the scheme to respond to changes in the market environment more quickly, and that would provide expertise for a broader range of investment opportunities. Mercer was chosen following a competitive tender process in which the Trustees considered a number of providers. “Mercer’s solution increases the speed with which we can respond to investment opportunities,” commented Andreas Brabeck, Chair of the Investment Sub-Committee for the Roche Pension Fund. “It will allow us to diversify our growth portfolio far more than we have been able to in the past. It will also enable us to make the best use of active management.” Dan Melley, Partner in Mercer Investments, said, “We are delighted to be working with the Roche Trustees here in the UK. Their due diligence process was thorough and we are very pleased to have been able to demonstrate our capabilities during the selection phase. We look forward to delivering for them.”
