TUESDAY TRIVIA: Origin of the Word Muscle
The word “muscle” likely brings to mind words like “strong” and “big.”
Reported by PS
What is the origin of the word “muscle?”
It comes from the Latin “musculus,” literally meaning “little mouse.”
So-called because the shape and movement of some muscles (notably biceps) were thought to resemble mice.
