Knowles joins the DC team in New York as a defined contribution product associate. He is responsible for enhancing product development, vendor management and marketing activities for the Russell LifePoints Institutional Target Date Funds and real asset fund suite, as well as the Russell Adaptive Retirement Accounts.
Hollub-Verdeyen will report to Dick Davies, managing director, defined contribution, Americas Institutional, while Knowles will report to Michelle Rappa, director of business development.
An industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience, Hollub-Verdeyen brings to Russell an extensive background in DC investment solution support and client relationship management, as well as broad retirement solutions and guaranteed lifetime income solutions. Most recently she worked on business development and client service at UBS Global Asset Management as a DC specialist in the defined contribution and retirement solutions group, and she was also a member of the defined contribution group at Barclays Global Investors (now BlackRock). She holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.
Knowles joins Russell from Allianz Global Investors, where he was a product manager and research analyst for their packaged target-date funds, supporting the internal and external sales force, and the portfolio management team in sales and client service efforts. Knowles is a CFA charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
