Workplace Fall Triggers Overactive Libido, $6 Million Compensation Award
Tame, 29, suffered severe head injuries in a fall, transforming him from a loyal newlywed into a “disinhibited” character who had two affairs, according to Reuters. He was in a coma for two months after falling from a gantry while working at a bicycle warehouse shortly after his marriage in January 2002. Doctors said it was a miracle he survived, according to the report.
According to court records, Tame made a remarkable neurological recovery after two years of treatment, but became sexually ‘disinhibited’. His wife of eight months, Sarah, 30, has had to spend nights away from him “to get some respite.” Tame had started using pornography, ringing sex lines and visiting a prostitute. He was also unfaithful with a 57-year-old fellow churchgoer.
Tame’s lawyer told the court that his client had suffered from ‘fatuous euphoria,’ which led him to become sexually uninhibited. Tame’s lawyers sought damages saying that he would not be able to work again and that he was still suffering the trauma of his wrecked marriage.
His former employer had argued that his injuries were not as bad as suggested in court.
