Buck Consultants Beefs Up Consultant Roster
Larry Schumer has joined Buck Consultants’ Boston office as a Principal in the Compensation practice. Schumer most recently served with Salary.com as Vice President of New Product Development and Corporate Development. He has held VP Human Resources positions for two companies with over 10,000 employees including Teradyne, and has also spent 20 years in HR consulting principally with PricewaterhouseCoopers. His areas of expertise are total HR strategy, executive pay, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and business development.
In Chicago, Kenneth Lining has joined the firm as a Director in the Retirement practice. Most recently with Invesmart, Inc. as a Managing Actuary, he previously was a Consulting Actuary with Watson Wyatt, and has more than 20 years of consulting experience. His areas of expertise include actuarial and funding strategy issues, plan design and administration, mergers and acquisitions, and client relationship management.
Lawrence Engel , most recently with Mercer HR Services, has joined Buck Consultants’ Dallas office as a Director in the Health and Welfare Advantage practice. He previously served with J.C. Penney, where he developed healthcare budgets and paid time off programs, managed a benefits call center, and implemented an internal defined benefit administration system, according to the firm.
Greg Whittle has joined Buck Consultants’ Atlanta office as a Director in the Health and Welfare practice. Whittle, who most recently served with Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Manager, responsible for the health and welfare practice in its Southeast region, previously served as Health and Welfare Practice Leader for Arthur Andersen. Whittle has nearly 20 years of consulting experience, including financial analyses, underwriting, vendor search and selection, and compliance consulting.
