IRS, Treasury Update Priority Guidance Plan

May 5, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Department of the Treasury have released the third quarterly update to the 2003-2004 Priority Guidance Plan.

The update adds 36 items of guidance to the original list of 268 projects for the year, and indicates what guidance has already been published. The priority guidance plan was originally released in July 2003.  

Of concern to plan sponsors, the update provides release information for guidance on retirement benefits,executive compensation, health care and other benefits, and employment taxes and tax accounting.
