Corporate Achievement Recognition Efforts Not Up to Snuff

June 8, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - How good are companies at acknowledging top performers? A recent survey says not good enough.

Only 4% of respondents in a recent survey of 150 executives at the top 1,000 US companies said that current company efforts to reward top performers were very effective.

The survey, by staffing firm OfficeTeam, asked executives how effective are businesses today in rewarding their employees for good performance?”

  • 60% said businesses were somewhat effective
  • a third of respondents said that companies were somewhat ineffective
  • 2% said they were very ineffective
