SURVEY SAYS: How Many "Razzies" Have You Seen?
For this week’s bonus question, I asked readers – well, pretty much the same questions about this list that I did the Oscar nominees (see SURVEY SAYS: How Many “Best” Pictures Have You Seen?). With results that were, I think, even more entertaining. Besides, if you don’t know the movies that made THIS list, how will you know what to avoid?
The most commonly viewed of the five Razzies was Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which had been seen by nearly half (43.4%), which was just ahead of Sex and the City 2 (39.6%). As for the rest:
24.5% – The Last Airbender
22.6% – The Bounty Hunter
9.4% – Vampires Suck
I also asked readers if they would care to nominate a film that somehow had missed the “Razzie” list – and got some interesting suggestions (and observations):
It's an animated feature, but it's pretty bad....The Family Guy Movie. Anything Sex and the City should be on the list.
Men who stare at goats.
"The Tourist" was pretty bad, but perhaps not as bad as the list above..
Salt is missing. Perhaps the worst movie since Waterworld.
The American
Burlesque of course! For all its cheese-tasticness
The Expendables...and I love action and Stallone movies but this was atrocious!
Not really. I was deeply offended at the awfulness of Airbender. If I hadn't been there with small children, I would have walked out.
Little Fockers
Sex and the City 2 - $7 and two hours of my life I'll never get back. Not only was it a waste of time, I can't even say it was harmless entertainment--it was actually offensive.
I can't remember the name, but it was something like "Greenberg"
"I know it's the wrong medium but the initial episode of ""Harry's Law"" was so bad it deserves a category of its own.
Anything by James Cameron."
Clash of the Titans. It was a completely silly movie. In fact, the best part of the movie was a reference to the original one.
piranha 3d
nothing could be worse than Twilight, I think.
I am Love. I'm still trying to figure out the extra scene that ran during the credits where the lovers appeared to be living in a cave.
Somewhat ironically, there were some Razzie suggestions that were actually on the Oscar list:?
I really was angry watching the Social Network. I thought it was terribly one-sided and unfair. Besides, when you watch Mark Zuckerberg in interviews, he's so much more articulate and NORMAL than the awkward, exaggerated character he's made out to be in the movie. Something tells me that Hollywood is just jealous that this kid developed this awesome service, and they just can't get their grubby mitts on that stock!
Inception
The Kids Are Alright
And we had a number of folks who hadn’t seen any/many of these – and were glad of the fact:
Happy to say that I haven't seen any of the Razzie nominees.
At least I didn't see these.
I try to check movie ratings before rushing out to see or rent something that I'll spend 2 or more hrs. of time that I can't get back, so I've been lucky enough not to see anything bad enough to earn this dubious award!
Thank God I haven't seen any of the nominees. The only movie I saw this year where I thought "there's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back" was "The Other Guys". I'm not a fan of sophomoric humor.
But this week’s Editor’s Choice goes to the reader who noted, “OMG Nevin, thanks for the reminder once again that I need to get a life. It figures that the only movie I've seen is on the Razzies list!”
Thanks to everyone who participated in our bonus survey!
