Prudential Adds to Pension Risk Transfer Team
Mathur will assess corporate finance implications of pension risk management to cultivate a consistent recognition of pension de-risking solutions. He will also be working with Prudential’s distribution team to promote understanding of these issues among credit and equity analysts, treasurers, chief financial officers and investment bankers. Mathur will also lead the team developing original research and related marketing for pensions de-risking strategies.
Prior to Prudential, Mathur was an executive director of capital structure and strategy for UBS Investment Bank, where he worked with clients in multiple industries with a specific focus on corporate finance, risk advisory and pension issues. Before that, he worked for Moody’s Investors Service, where he published research on accounting and pension issues, as well as working with credit analysts to incorporate those risks more systemically into company ratings.
Mathur holds a Ph.D. from Columbia Business School.
