Mercer Outsourcing Announces New Head of U.S. Ops

March 7, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Mercer announced that Jocelyn Purtell will assume the role of Head of U.S. Operations with its outsourcing business effective April 1, 2008.

In this role, Purtell will be responsible for running all of Mercer’s U.S. operations, with a primary focus on transforming Mercer’s operational platform and processes in order to optimize service delivery and efficiencies for clients, the announcement said.

Michael Sternklar, Chief Operating Officer and Head of the Americas for Mercer’s outsourcing business noted in the announcement that Purtell is the latest in a number of select senior executive hires that Mercer has made over the past year in order to support the growth of its outsourcing business. In 2007, Mercer’s outsourcing arm implemented 40 separate pieces of business.

Purtell joins Mercer from Hewitt Associates, where she most recently was Senior Vice President, North America Operations Outsourcing Leader.

Purtell will be based in Mercer’s Deerfield, Illinois, office.
