ConvergEx Adds West Coast Sales Exec

March 29, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - ConvergEx Group, a provider of investment technologies and execution solutions to institutional clients worldwide, has beefed up its West Coast sales presence.

According to the announcement, Brian Elliott has joined the firm as a senior vice president in Plan Sponsor Sales.  In his new role, Elliott, located in Los Angeles, will be responsible for sales and business development for ConvergEx’s transition management and commission recapture services throughout the West Coast.      

Elliott, who has over 18 years of experience, was previously with Kayne Anderson Rudnick, where he served as chief marketing officer, senior portfolio advisor and senior vice president of Institutional Account Management. Prior to that, he spent time at Alliance Bernstein and Nicholas Applegate Capital Management, according to the announcement.

Commenting on the appointment, Frederick J. Bailey, global head of Plan Sponsor Sales at ConvergEx, said, “We are delighted to announce this new role for Brian. ConvergEx says its transition management and commission recapture offerings service support more than 2,000 client funds whose assets under management total more than $3 trillion.  Their clients include annuities, pension plans, pension schemes, endowments and mutual funds.
