Most Hiring Managers Bar Video Resumes
A new Robert Half survey of 150 senior executives at the nation’s 1,000 largest companies found only about a quarter (24%) were willing to accept video resumes from job candidates.
Fifty-eight percent of respondents said they would reject a video job submission, and 18% said they did not know if they would accept or reject one.
“Before submitting a video resume, job candidates should check with the hiring manager to ensure the company does not have a policy against their use in evaluating candidates,” said Max Messmer, chairman and CEO of Robert Half International, in a news release.
