AFP Names Schub To Lead Pension Policy

June 14, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) ? The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) has appointed Judy Schub as managing director, pension and investment policy.

In this position, she will oversee the operations of AFP’s affiliate, the Committee on Investment of Employee Benefit Assets (CIEBA) as well as the association’s activities in the area of pension-related public policy.

Her responsibilities will also include:

  • raising the profile of CIEBA,
  • advancing the interests of CIEBA and AFP members in pension and investment policy, and
  • acting as the liaison to government agencies, Congressional committees and other associations.

Shub was previously an assistant executive director for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation where she coordinated legislative and intergovernmental relations. She also held positions with the American Association of Retired Persons and the National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs.

Schub holds a bachelors degree from Harpur College, Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY, and masters from The George Washington University.
