AMVESCAP's Harris Expands Responsibilities
John Rogers, chief executive officer of the INVESCO division of AMVESCAP PLC, announced the move involving Harris along with several other organizational changes, effective Thursday. As part of his expanded duties, Harris will manage investment product groups based in Atlanta, Denver, Louisville, and New York and report to Rogers. Robert O’Connor, currently president and chief operating officer of AMVESCAP Retirement, becomes chief executive officer, the company said.
In a news release, Rogers also announced that INVESCO Alternatives Group, a new business unit of INVESCO, will be formed by joining two of INVESCO North America’s current groups: INVESCO Private Capital and INVESCO Realty Advisors. David Ridley, currently head of INVESCO Realty Advisors, also becomes CEO of INVESCO Alternatives Group, reporting to Rogers.
