Asset Manager Hires Two for Institutional Sales Roles

November 1, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Gannett Welsh & Kotler, LLC (GW&K), a manager of active fixed income and equity investment strategies, has announced the hiring of John Brescia and Michael Clare for institutional sales roles.

Brescia has been appointed Vice President and will lead the firm’s effort to cultivate new business opportunities through the institutional consultant community. Clare has been named Vice President and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities through plan sponsors, as well as servicing some of GW&K’s existing institutional client relationships in a newly created position.  

According to the announcement, Brescia previously was Vice President of Consultant Relations for Loomis, Sayles & Company, and has also served in institutional marketing roles at Independence Investments and State Street Research & Management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from New York University and an M.B.A. from Babson College.

Clare most recently served as Vice President and Relationship Manager with The Boston Company. He also has held senior client relationship positions at Investors Bank & Trust and Putnam Investments. Clare earned degrees in business administration and political science from Arizona State University and an M.B.A. from Babson College.
