2024 Best in Class 401(k) Plans

PLANSPONSOR is pleased to announce the 10th ‘class’ of plans to have earned its Best in Class 401(k) Plan designation.

For the 10th year, PLANSPONSOR is recognizing 401(k) retirement plans and their sponsors that stand out for their exceptional best practices. Four 2024 PLANSPONSOR Best in Class 401(k) plans were selected from the 1,764 401(k)s whose sponsors completed the 2023 PLANSPONSOR Defined Contribution Survey. In addition, because Best in Class plans must requalify every five years for this status, we also honor the four 2019 Best in Class winners that still meet the minimum criteria used in our propriety Best in Class scoring system. Plans were rated on participant enrollment and engagement; plan design features such as participant education and financial wellness programs; plan governance variables—e.g., fiduciary training, plan benchmarking and fees; and more.
