BoNY Brokerage Gets New Chief Trader
A news release said that Conroy will oversee sales trading for Institutional Trading Services, the broker-assisted trading unit of BNY Brokerage.
Conroy joins BNY Brokerage from Merrill Lynch Investment Management, where he served for the past five years as managing director and head trader of the firm’s hedge fund unit, which managed $1 billion in hedge fund assets and $50 billion in alternative assets, according to the announcement. Conroy was formerly head of equity trading for Bankers Trust Asset Management Group and also served as co-head of trading for Soros Funds Management.
BNY Brokerage is an institutional agency brokerage firm offering a range of execution and commission management services to money managers, institutional broker-dealers, and plan sponsors.
