Centerprise Acquires LA TPA Firm

June 12, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The TPA business by Centerprise Advisors Inc. took a quantum leap as Centerprise acquired IMA, a Shreveport, Louisiana TPA for employee medical plans, according to an announcement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Centerprise already owns Insurance Design Administrators (IDA), headquartered in Oakland, New Jersey. IDA is one of the nation’s largest TPA’s.

IMA had net 2001 revenues of approximately $4.5 million. Established in 1982, the group currently administers 137 plans covering over 12,500 employees and processes over $42 million in yearly benefit payments.
