CIGNA Names New Retirement Services President

February 8, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - CIGNA Corporation has named John Y. Kim president of CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services.

Kim replaces Thomas C Jones, who plans to retire later this year.

Before joining CIGNA, Kim served as president and chief executive officer of BondBook LLC, and as president, chief investment officer and chief executive officer at Aeltus Investment Management, an investment management subsidiary of ING Group.

Prior to that, Kim worked as managing director of Mitchell Hutchins Institutional Investors.
CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services provides retirement products to approximately 3,500 plan sponsors serving some 1.2 million plan participants through various subsidiaries of CIGNA Corporation.

CIGNA also named Farhan Sharaff as its chief investment officer and president of TimesSquare Capital Management, Inc. Sharaff, who will report to Kim, will join the company on March 1. He replaces Robert J. Moore, who had indicated his intention to leave the organization at an appropriate time to pursue career interests outside of the investment management business, according to Cigna.
