VALIC Launches Education Campaign for Women

May 5, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – VALIC has launched a new education campaign that caters to the specific financial and retirement planning needs of women.

The “You Can Get There From Here” campaign aims to help prepare women financially whether their savings objective is buying a home, paying for kids’ college, or preparing for a secure retirement.

VALIC developed a dedicated Web site, http://www.VALIC.com/GetThere, offering hypothetical profiles of five women in different stages of their lives. The profiles outline their income, financial priorities, and attitudes about retirement planning in the hopes that women will find one woman with a similar situation and common goals.
