Deutsche Names New President

April 30, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com)-Deutsche Asset Management has named Thomas Eggers president and CEO of Scudder Investments, its US retail brand.

Eggers joins Scudder from The Dreyfus Corporation where he spent six years, most recently as president and also as chairman and CEO of Dreyfus Service Corporation.

Prior to Dreyfus, Eggers spent 17 years at Paine Webber in a number of positions, including managing director of that firm’s Mitchell Hutchins business.
Eggers will report to William Shiebler, CEO of Deutsche Asset Management in the Americas.

In the wake of Egger’s departure, Dreyfus has announced the appointment of Michael Millard as president of The Dreyfus Corporation. Millard has also been named chairman and CEO of Dreyfus Service Corporation.

Prior to joining Dreyfus in 1996, Millard held management positions with Fidelity Investments and Paine Webber. Millard is a member of Dreyfus’ Board of Directors and Operating Committee. He reports to Stephen Canter, chairman and CEO.
