DOL Offers Webinar on Health Benefits Laws
The DOL’s Employee Benefits Security Administration will be hosting the “Health Benefits Laws Compliance Assistance Webcast: The Affordable Care Act, the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act and More” Thursday, May 29, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Employers, as well as third-party administrators and insurers, will be able to ask questions about the laws and guidance.
The webinar is intended to provide practical information and helpful tips about provisions of the ACA becoming fully applicable in 2014, as well as the final regulations under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act. Experts will address these provisions, such as the prohibition on preexisting condition exclusions, as well as additional guidance including the updated COBRA model notices.
