Donovan Departs NHRS
According to the UnionLeader.com, Constance Donovan, who took the helm at the $6 billion public pension system on April 21, notified the board of trustees by letter this week that she is leaving her job.
Donovan also held the title of general counsel to the board, which oversees benefits for 20,000 retired teachers, firefighters, police and other public workers. The plan has another 50,000 active workers.
Donovan came to NHRS from the Washington D.C. area, where she had been general counsel for the District of Columbia Retirement Board, according to the report. She also served as DCRB’s acting executive director from October 2005 to June 2007. She was also general counsel to the Montgomery County, Maryland, board of investment trustees, and a pension law specialist at the U.S. Department of Labor.
