EBSA Provides COBRA Subsidy Publications

February 24, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Documents regarding the COBRA subsidy included in the newly passed stimulus bill are now on the Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration's (EBSA) Web site.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provides for a 65% reduction in COBRA premiums for certain assistance eligible individuals for up to nine months (see H.R. 1 Contains COBRA Provisions ). The EBSA site provides the definition of assistance eligible individuals and links to documents explaining the new law.

The site also includes links to information for employers and employees in Spanish.
