EBSA Schedules 5500 Update Webcast

June 8, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The U.S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) will host a free Webcast Thursday to help plan sponsors and service providers with upcoming changes to the Form 5500.

A news release said the online session will also cover electronic filing requirements that start with the 2009 plan year (see  Providers Need More Time and Guidance for Form 5500 Rules ).

The announcement said the Webcast will focus on frequently asked questions about preparation of the Form 5500, preparation for electronic filing, and the new EFAST2 system—also known as the ERISA Filing Acceptance System.
