EBSA to Host VFCP Advanced Workshop
March 6, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is hosting a voluntary fiduciary correction program (VFCP) advanced workshop.

The workshop is for any employee benefit plan sponsors, officials, parties-in-interest or service providers that are interested in how to correct fiduciary violations under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). It will cover three of the 19 VFCP transactions: (1) Duplicative, Excessive, or Unnecessary Compensation Paid by a Plan; (2) Delinquent Participant Contributions to Insured Welfare Plans; and (3) Delinquent Participant Contributions to a Welfare Plan Trust.
The workshop is March 23, 2012, from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Kluczynski Federal Building, 230 S. Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois.
