EEOC Claims Harassment At Boeing
June 26, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The United States
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a
suit against Boeing Co., claiming gender-based harassment and
retaliation against a female Apache helicopter
mechanic.
Reported by Eric Hazard
The suit, filed in US District Court in Arizona, is seeking an undisclosed sum of compensatory and punitive damages. Additionally, the EEOC is seeking an injunction prohibiting future sex bias and retaliation and training at Boeing to prevent further harassment acts, according to a Dow Jones report.
A Boeing spokesman told Dow Jones the company does not comment on ongoing litigation. However, he did say Boeing is committed to equal opportunity and takes seriously any complaints that it does not treat its employees with respect and dignity. You Might Also Like:
