Empower Creates Apple Watch Retirement Planning App
It shows plan balances and projected retirement income.
Reported by Lee Barney
Empower Retirement has developed a retirement planning application for the Apple Watch.
The app shows users their balances, the percentage of savings they have amassed toward their retirement goal and their projected retirement income. The Apple Watch relies on a wirelessly connected iPhone to perform many functions, including the new Empower app.
“At Empower, our goal is to maximize the opportunities to engage plan participants at every touch point,” says Edmund Murphy III, Employer president. “It’s crucial for us to be present in the latest technology that people use every day. We want to be where people are and help them to keep their financial goals top of mind. Users will literally have information that’s even closer than their fingertips.”
The new app is now available in the Apple Store and can be used with plans using the Empower Participant Experience.
