E*Trade Now Offering S&P Stock Baskets
October 1, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - E*TRADE Group,
Inc. launched E*TRADE Stock Baskets, a service that allows
E*TRADE's brokerage customers to build a portfolio with a
single investment.
Reported by Camilla Klein
Investors can trade entire portfolios of individual securities in dollar, rather than share, denominations, while maintaining control over the timing of trades leading to taxable events.
With the E*TRADE Stock Baskets platform, and a minimum investment of $5,000 for non-retirement accounts and $2,000 for IRAs, investors can:
- research and build a basket of up to 50 individual securities, or
- purchase a ready-made basket, from a range of 21 compiled by Standard & Poor’s, which can be further customized
E*TRADE Stock Baskets charge a value-oriented asset-based fee of 0.75% to 1.25% per year, rather than commissions or transaction charges.
