Ford Participants Get Social Option
December 18, 2000 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Ford has added
a social investment option to its $20 billion 401(k)
plan.
Reported by Nevin E. Adams
Ford has added the Domini Social Equity Fund to its 401(k) fund lineup, available to its 86,000 hourly and salaried employees.
The move comes in response to interest expressed in such an option by the UAW last fall.
The Domini Social Equity Fund is the oldest and largest socially and environmentally screened index fund in the world, with $1.4 billion in assets, according to the press release.
