Former Federal Employee Admits to Falsifying OT Records
March 23, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - A former
Department of Agriculture employee has pled guilty to charges
of submitting false time and attendance forms for a fellow
employee in exchange for money.

HR.BLR.com reports that Densealean Leftwich entered a plea of guilty in US District Court to one count of conspiracy to commit false, fictitious, or fraudulent claims, for which she could receive a maximum of six months in prison.
The Department of Justice (DoJ) said that between January 2002 and August 2004, Leftwich conspired with a co-worker to earn extra money by altering time and attendance forms to reflect additional overtime hours that the co-worker never worked, according to HR.BLR.com. The two agreed that the co-worker would pay Leftwich $200 each time Leftwich submitted a fraudulent time and attendance form on her behalf.
The DoJ alleged that the co-worker received $29,500 for over 1000 overtime hours that she never worked. She has pled guilty to fraud also, and awaits sentencing.
