According to a press release from the company, Smith will be in charge of the overall strategic direction of Hewitt’s investment consulting operations in the U.S., which includes managing experts who give advice to the firm’s clients on investment strategy, portfolio structure, manager selection and other investment issues.
Smith has nearly two decades of experience in the investment industry, which includes his last position as a senior consultant and practice leader for a Mid-Atlantic company specializing in defined contribution plans, according to Hewitt.
