ING Welcomes President of Tax-Exempt Plans

September 13, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) Jamie Ohl was named president of tax-exempt markets for ING U.S., effective October 1.

As president, Ohl will be responsible for all aspects of the business, including developing and executing strategic direction, as well as maximizing growth potential and profitability.

The tax-exempt markets team works with employer-sponsored 403(b) and 457 plans in the health care, education, government and nonprofit sectors.

Ohl has more than 20 years experience leading teams in competitive markets, and for the past two she was president of Wilshire Funds Management, the company’s global investment management business. In this position, Ohl was responsible for guiding the company’s strategic investment, operations and growth efforts. Previously, she served as head of the retirement division for The Hartford Financial Services Group during the period the company first entered the 403(b) market. Additionally, she has served in management and consulting roles at VALIC and Hewitt Associates.

Ohl will be based in ING U.S.’s Windsor, Connecticut office, and will report to Maliz Beams, CEO.
