Jeffrey Peek To Manage CSFB Operations

December 19, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Jeffrey Peek has been appointed to head up Credit Suisse First Boston's asset gathering operations, replacing Phillip Colebatch, who will retire early next year after 17 years at CSFB, according to a report from Reuters.

At CSFB, Peek will oversee:

  • Credit Suisse Asset Management, which manages $270 billion,
  • Private Client Services, which manages about $60 billion,
  • Pershing, the firm’s securities clearing business.

Peek is the former president of Merrill Lynch & Co.’s asset management division. Two months ago, he parted ways with Merrill Lynch after 18 years of service – shortly after Stan O’Neal beat him in the running for president of the company.
