Job Supply Shrinks in 48 States
The monthly measure of US job supply fell by 3.7 points in the latest report, falling to 30.6. In contrast to the previous month, when job supply grew in 46 states, supply fell across the board, with the exception of New Mexico and Wyoming.

Massachusetts remains the state with the strongest job supply, despite a drop of 10.4 points in the latest report.
Minnesota, Virginia, Colorado and New Hampshire round out the top five this month, while Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, West Virginia and Mississippi maintain the lowest supply of job openings per worker.
The index is based on statistical methodology that utilizes FlipDog.com’s sample of jobs listed on employers’ Web sites and workforce data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
