Law Firm Hires Experienced Employee Benefits Attorney

January 7, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Lee T. Polk has joined Epstein Becker Green (EBG) as a member in the Employee Benefits practice in the Chicago office.

Polk was formerly a partner with Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Chicago. He represents management and plan fiduciaries in employee benefits law, both on the business planning, compliance, and transactions side, as well as in disputes, litigation, and arbitration involving employee benefits issues. Those legal services also involve dealings with all of the government agencies in the arena of employee benefits.   

Polk is the immediate past chair of the Qualified Plans Committee of the ABA Section of Real Property Probate & Trust Law. He is a charter fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the American, Illinois State, and Chicago Bar Associations and the ESOP Association. He is the author of a four-volume treatise entitled “ERISA Practice & Litigation” published by West Group and updated annually for legal developments.

Northern Trust Names Head of U.S. Fund Administration

January 7, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Nancy Grady has joined Northern Trust as head of Fund Administration and Fund Accounting-Americas.

Grady oversees fund accounting, regulatory administration, financial reporting, tax and other services for registered and unregistered mutual fund products.  

She has more than 25 years of experience in fund accounting and administration. Before joining Northern Trust, Grady was global head of Custody & Fund Accounting Advisory Services at WIPRO Technologies. For much of her career, she was a senior executive at State Street Corp., overseeing operations responsible for providing accounting and fund services to asset management firms on a global basis.
