Time Flies
If you want to get a sense of how fast time flies,
and just how much things can change in a relatively short
time, consider that, a year ago, GOP presidential contender
John McCain hadn't yet named a running mate,
then-candidate Barack Obama was still encouraging the
electorate to sign up for his text about the announcement of
his pick for VP, "Joe the Plumber" hadn't yet
lined up for his stint in the national spotlight—and the Dow
was trading in the 11,500 range.
