Main Management Partners With RPG Consultants

September 20, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – An alliance between RPG Consultants and Main Management LLC will enable plan sponsors to utilize RPG’s technology and Main Management’s portfolio management capabilities.

Main Management provides a suite of managed exchange-traded fund (ETF) solutions to the qualified retirement plan marketplace. The Main Management-RPG solution allows adviser access to managed strategies and investment models in defined benefit (DB) plans and defined contribution (DC) plans. Main Management will offer section 3(38) investment fiduciary services using RPG’s open architecture and recordkeeping platform, as well as its plan consulting, actuarial and administration services for all types of plans.

The integration will allow customized retirement plans—aiming to reduce fiduciary risk—in addition to a variety of allocation models and portfolio options, designed to create cost savings and transparency to plan sponsor and participants. It will also provide advisers with a tool with which clients can allocate their investments.

David Schweihs Rejoins Mercer Health and Benefits

September 20, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – David Schweihs will rejoin Mercer as part of its new Analytics and Measurements Solution group of the Health and Benefits business, in the Midwest.

Based in Chicago, Schweihs will hold the role of principal and senior member of the group, where he will link data and analytics with practical application for clients as well as shape new reporting models and approaches that support high-performing provider networks. He will report to Lisa Black, leader of Mercer’s Midwest Health and Benefits Actuarial and Financial group.

Schweihs returns to Mercer form United Healthcare, where he was vice president of customer analysis and solutions and advanced analytics. He led teams that provided clients analyses of and insights into their health plan offerings.

From 1997 to 2006, Schweihs worked at Mercer as principal in its health and benefits business, where he was involved in strategy development, HMO rate negotiation, vendor selection, direct contracting, plan performance evaluation and market research.

Schweihs holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University.
