Mercer Names Leader of Cleveland and Pittsburgh Offices
Kiper will continue to lead Mercer’s retirement business in Pittsburgh, which he has done since 2012. As part of his expanded duties, he will work closely with Mercer’s Midwest leadership team to drive the success of the Cleveland and Pittsburgh offices with a focus on client retention, sales and promotion in these markets. Kiper will report to David Weissner, Midwest retirement leader.
Kiper has more than 20 years of experience in the design, administration, compliance, and implementation of qualified retirement plans, with a focus on defined contribution plans. He joined Mercer in 2006 as a retirement legal consultant in Chicago and maintained that position through 2008. Between 2008 and 2012, Kiper was a retirement practice leader with Grant Thornton in the firm’s compensation and benefits consulting business in Chicago and St. Louis. He rejoined Mercer in 2012, at their Pittsburgh office, as a senior consultant and became the retirement office business leader.
Kiper has a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Southern Illinois University and a Juris Doctor from the University Of Mississippi School Of Law.
