MetLife Expands Travel Assistance Program

August 16, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – MetLife, in conjunction with its partner AXA Assistance USA, Inc., has announced an enhanced group Travel Assistance program, which now includes concierge services and Web site access to important pre-trip and travel information.

Travel Assistance, administered by AXA, is an optional feature available with MetLife’s Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) products and Business Travel Accident (BTA) insurance. Employees can use Travel Assistance when traveling more than 100 miles from home, domestically or internationally, regardless of whether their travel is business or personal.

Employees now have Web access to pre-trip information including security alerts, immunizations, visa requirements, currency, weather, etiquette and important local phone numbers. Whether at home or while traveling, employees can access the Web site for local information on their destination such as entertainment, medical and professional services.
