MetLife Unveils New Dental Offerings

September 20, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – MetLife has launched the Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO) MET Series of Copay plans.

A news release said the new products are currently available in California and, pending regulatory approval, will also be available in Florida and Texas The new DHMO MET Series plans have been designed to provide comprehensive coverage that includes benefits based upon current market trends, the latest clinical research and most current treatment protocols, according to the company.

“The changes to our DHMO plans reflect the most contemporary research and best practices in dental plan design to help employers provide their employees with a cost-effective benefit option that optimizes value and patient satisfaction,” said Michael Schwartz, vice president, MetLife Dental Products, in the news release.

The benefits offered by the MET Series are in addition to the standard features of the DHMO plans, which include no patient claims or claim forms, no deductibles, no calendar year maximums and an easy-to-understand schedule of benefits, the company said.
