Nationwide Expands Sales Team in East
In an expansion of its retirement plan sales team, Nationwide has hired two new wholesalers, Josh Cesare and Johannes Gerz-Escandón, and also expanded its territory to include southern Virginia and northern North Carolina.
Cesare has been selected as the regional vice president for the new territory. Based in Richmond, Virginia, he will oversee all sales activities. Cesare previously served as a field service representative for Nationwide, working with plan sponsors and participants to improve plan engagement and health.
Gerz-Escandón is responsible for managing private-sector sales for the existing Georgia and eastern Tennessee territory. He joins Nationwide having previously worked in external retirement plan sales at Wells Fargo and John Hancock.
“We are committed to strengthening Nationwide’s position as a top-provider of retirement plan services,” says Joe Frustaglio, vice president of private-sector retirement plan sales for Nationwide. “By expanding our team, advisers and plan sponsors in Virginia and North Carolina will experience an increased level of support as they work together to build successful retirement plans.”
