Nationwide Taps Riebel for Public Sector Plan Unit

Financial Services has turned to Matt Riebel to head
Nationwide's public-sector retirement plans
business.

In his new capacity as head of Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Riebel succeeds Duane Meek, a Nationwide news release said. Meek was promoted to head the new Retirement Plan segment, which includes both public and private-sector plans. Riebel will report to Meek.
Riebel has headed Nationwide Financial’s bank distribution channel since 1999. Riebel led both retail and wholesale sales companies in previous positions. He began his career with Nationwide Financial in 1992 as a regional vice president for the western United States.
