New Hampshire Chooses Great-West to Serve 457 Plan

December 8, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The state of New Hampshire has decided to transition its 457 retirement savings plan to Great-West Retirement Services early next year.

The 457 plan currently serves almost 5,800 state employees and has more than $170 million in assets. According to a Great-West press release, New Hampshire’s Deferred Compensation Commission Chairman Thomas Manning said the company “stood apart in its ability to offer an affordable, quality retirement savings plan.”

Gregg Seller, senior vice president, government markets, Great-West said in the announcement: “By using our innovative participant resources, tools and assistance, New Hampshire’s employees can easily and efficiently establish their retirement savings goals and take the appropriate steps to reach them.”

Hewitt Names a New CFO

December 7, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – There’s going to be a new finance chief at human resources consulting and outsourcing firm Hewitt Associates.

The Lincolnshire, Illinois-based firm today announced that Chief Financial Officer John J. Park has decided to leave the company early next year to pursue new career challenges. Robert A. Schriesheim, currently the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Lawson Software, Inc., will join Hewitt as the company’s new chief financial officer on January 4, 2010. 

The announcement said that Park “is committed to creating a smooth transition of leadership” and that it was “pleased that he has agreed to remain at Hewitt until early next year”. Park is evaluating a number of opportunities for his next position, according to the announcement.

Schriesheim, 49, is currently executive vice president, chief financial officer and a member of the board of Lawson Software, Inc., the world’s third largest publicly traded Enterprise Resource Planning software provider. According to the announcement, he helped lead a broad operational, financial, and strategic transformation following a trans-Atlantic merger-of-equals.  

Previously, he held executive positions at ARCH Development Partners, Global TeleSystems, SBC Equity Partners, Ameritech, AC Nielsen, and Brooke Group Ltd.
