Penn Liberty Adds to Advisory Team

May 10, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Penn Liberty Wealth Advisors, a division of Penn Liberty Bank in Wayne, Pennsylvania, expanded its team with three hires. 
 

Joining the division are Shawn T. Higginbotham, Deborah Davis and Joseph Dowling.

Higginbotham joined Penn Liberty Wealth Advisors as an investment strategist. He will be responsible for non-deposit investment strategies and financial planning. Higginbotham has 15 years of experience in financial services focused on providing clients with wealth management and financial planning solutions. Prior to joining Penn Liberty, he was with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, SunTrust Private Banking and, most recently, Schwab Private Client Investment Advisory.

Higginbotham holds a bachelor’s of business administration in finance from Stetson University and a master’s of business administration with a concentration in investments from the University of Central Florida. He has the following industry registrations: Series 7, 9, 10, 63, 65 and 66. Higginbotham is an accredited asset management specialist and a certified financial planner.

Davis joined Penn Liberty Wealth Advisors as an adviser. She will be responsible for developing the financial resources in the Chester County region. She has more than nine years’ experience in financial services and real estate industries. She was previously employed by Graystone Wealth Management in West Chester, Pennsylvania, where she supported eight retail branches and five retirement communities. Davis has series 6, 7 and 63 registrations and is a certified financial planner.

Dowling joined Penn Liberty Wealth Advisors as an adviser. He will be responsible for developing the integration of wealth advisory in the Montgomery County region. Dowling has accumulated more than 15 years in financial services. His background includes experience in sales, trading, business development and management in the money, capital and commodity markets. His past employers include Brandywine Asset Management, Tullett Prebon and Prudential Financial. After leaving New York in 2004, he transitioned into business development and sales director roles in risk management and insurance with Willis Group and American Brokerage Services. 

Dowling is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds the Series 6, 63 and 65 securities registrations, as well as the Pennsylvania Producer’s License for Life, Health, Annuities and Property & Casualty.
