SEBC Elects New Officers
October 15, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Southern Employee Benefits Conference (SEBC) elected new officers and awarded the Hazlehurst Lamon Outstanding Achievement Award at their Annual Fall Conference.
The new officers are President Tim McCabe, Stadion Money Management; Watkinsville, Georgia; Vice President Jeff Capwell, McGuireWoods LLP, Charlotte, North Carolina; Treasurer Kathy Solley, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, Atlanta, Georgia; and Secretary Debra Mackey, Burr & Forman LLP, Birmingham, Alabama. Susan Rosenbleeth from the Atlanta, Georgia office of Buck Consultants LLC was elected to the Steering Committee.
Continuing to serve on the Steering Committee are Bert Carmody of Southeastern Fiduciary Services, LLC, Atlanta, Georgia; Frasier Ives of Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Charlotte, North Carolina; Dan Keys of Wendys/Arby’s Group, Atlanta, Georgia; Andrew Schaffernoth of Alta Capital Management of Richmond, Virginia and Howard Whitehead of Cisco Systems, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia.
David Lyons, Managing Director of Lowe, Brockenbrough & Company in Richmond, Virginia was presented with the Hazlehurst Lamon Outstanding Achievement Award for his dedication and service not only to the SEBC but to his organization and charities such as the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, Virginia.
The Hazlehurst Lamon Outstanding Achievement Award is named for the founders of the organization Blackburn H. Hazlehurst and Harry V. Lamon, Jr. and is awarded to a member of the SEBC who has at least 10 years of industry experience, demonstrated outstanding achievement in their respective profession, is a recognized leader within their organization or in the industry and has made significant contributions to society outside of the industry.
The Southern Employee Benefits Conference was incorporated in 1969 to function exclusively as an educational organization in the field of employee benefits. The Conference was organized by and for plan sponsors, their advisors and other professionals active in the employee benefits industry, and provides a forum for benefits professionals of all disciplines to share information, cultivate relationships and pursue their educational development.
